The Rajakartano was renovated sustainably long before it was a common topic. The building materials are pure wood with no plastics or toxins. Natural materials are preferred for furnishings and the hotel textiles are of natural origins, largely from linen. We refurbish and recycle our furniture.
The apartments in Möhkö Rajakartano are named after the villages in the southern part of Ilomantsi, which were lost to the Soviet Union during the wars.

The Koitajoki River and nearby lakes are known among fishermen for both their diverse fish population and eye-catching scenery. We sell fishing permits. We assist with canoe rentals and, in winter, with fuel deliveries for snowmobiles by prior arrangement. The accommodation is only 1 km from a well-known hiking trail ’Susitaival’ and the snowmobile trail. There are also hiking trails leaving from the property.
The Möhkö Pottery Museum is a 15-minute walk from the property. Petkeljärvi National Park is less than a 20-minute drive away.
